MARES is the abbreviation for Malaysian Amateur Radio Emergency Service, and is a registered non-governmental organization, established in 2002 as a result of the need to have a team of dedicated and well trained radio operators to assist the authorities in times of emergency and disaster. As such, we specialize in radio communications for emergency and disaster relief operation. We operate at various frequencies, use various communication modes such as PSK31, RTTY, morse code, and SSTV, and can communicate in analog or digital. We also provide communication assistance for certain social events such as sports and fund raising campaign.
